Enso

Zen Mystery

At first glance the Enso -- an ancient Zen symbol of mystery -- may appear to be nothing more than a circle. Yet when painted by a skilled artist, it becomes much more than that, representing the oneness of life, the beginning and ends of all things, the connectedness of existence, or perhaps the moon.

Bring a beautiful touch of Zen to your home or office with our framed Enso Art print. Brushstroke painted by a Zen abbot of the 14th Century.

The Splendor of the Tang Ladies

tang ladies art print

Fashionable women during the imperial Tang Dynasty in China (about 618 - 907) wore their hair bunched up like an elaborate hat above the forehead and accented their hair with extravagant head ornaments and combs. Their clothing reflected the affluence of the time with pearl necklaces, face powders and tight-sleeved bodices. It was fashionable for women to be full-figured or plump.

The Tang Ladies Art was created by John Douglas, known for creating a balance between classicism and modernism in painting. The Kansas born, Arizona-raised artist is influenced by many classic, modern and aesthetic styles from Chinese, Greek, Roman and Italian periods.

The Tang Ladies Art Print is produced with an Italian finish called Pennellabili or Gesso, meaning "plaster of Paris". Gesso places a clear, grain-like finish on the canvas print. The small beads or grains of acrylic catch the light, reflecting the unique colors and painting on the canvas, so no glass front is needed.

Tang Ladies Framed Art is 42" L x 42" W. Sloped brown wood molding with ornate bronze inner Gesso beading. Boxed print ready for shipping, 46.5" x 46.5" x 6.5", 32 lbs. UPS shipping $99.
