The Loft Platform bed and matching bedroom furniture set is the highest level of environmentally friendly furniture on the market today. The full Loft set has been classified as “E-1” constructed, using only wood that is E-1 certified. What does this mean?

E-1 Emission Standard

The “E-1” rating is a European Union certification system that states that the materials used in the construction of the furniture do not off gas formaldehyde or other dangerous fumes into the sleeping environment. In addition all paints, glues, and finishes used in the furniture, also do not off emit toxic gasses. Many materials founds in most furniture made today, emit formaldehyde and a whole range of chemical gasses, many of which are harmful and are known allergens. “E-1” rating is the highest level of zero emissions rating.

In the United States there are currently no standards for toxic gas emissions from furniture, even though these gasses are known to be harmful to health. In addition there is no similar furniture product made in the United States, China or the Pacific Rim that has obtained this emission rating.

All of the raw wood materials used in many of our contemporary bedroom furniture lines come from managed forests that are harvested in a sustainable manner. Loft Platform beds are available in cream or brown textile leather. The fine fabric and Italian workmanship results in a dazzling low-profile bed that is comfortable and luxurious. The bed set is available in Queen or King Sizes and includes our exclusive "Bowed Slat System" where the mattress sits directly on slightly upward curved solid wood slats. The real benefit of this type of slat system is that the slats provide optimal support while at the same time allowing the mattress to firmly rest inside the bed frame and allow air to circulate in the sleeping environment. Construction

The wood in the Loft Bedroom furniture line is made in accordance with the highest environmental standards, as mentioned above using a combination of solid wood and engineered wood pieces.
