The De Novo platform bed from Haiku Designs offers a fresh contemporary look combined with function and comfort like no other bed. This Platform Bed is named for the Latin expression "de novo" meaning "fresh" and "anew." The De Novo platform bed embodies the design theme of “Simplicity in Form Creates Harmony in Function," with its simple straightforward design lines, a low profile structure, and the luxury and beauty of authentic leather padded construction.
The De Novo platform bed includes two upright leather padded, Body/Headrests offsetting the platform bed structure. These are perfect for leaning against and watching late night TV, or for enjoying that must read novel, as well as creating an appealing look that brings beauty and harmony to the bedroom.

The De Novo leather platform beds adapts to you in that you can move the Head/Body rests to any spot on the bed to better serve your needs. Move one Headrest to either side of the bed to create a space for special use, maybe a scrabble game or a place to share a tea tray and breakfast croissant. Or maybe create a chaise lounge space with real comfort in your own bed. Or move both Head/Body rests to the side of the bed for a cozy corner and different look and perspective. Or even remove them completely and give yourself an open vision around the whole bed. It is totally up to you. The De Novo leather platform bed combines function and versatility in a beautiful, smart looking piece of bedroom furniture. De Novo Platform Leather Bed in Black or Cream White Leather with Two Removable Backrests in Queen, King or California King Sizes. De Novo Bed Sizes (outside frame dimensions) The frame is 21.25" from the floor to the top of the frame. The backrest is 40" high, from the floor to the top of the backrest.

There is a flat rate charge for shipping the De Novo bedroom furniture anywhere in the continental United States.- For a De Novo Bed and any assortment of De Novo Tables, there is a flat rate shipping charge of $179.00 in the U.S.
First Class Freight Delivery. All furniture is shipped on Class #1 Carriers, Fully Insured, and is delivered right to your front door, or building front door, with a courtesy notification phone call to set up the best time for delivery.

Moving or removing the Head/Body rest is quick, simple and secure due to the ingenious latch method allowing the De Novo Bed to be as flexible and comfortable as you want it to be. The De Novo platform bed features, a metal and hardwood frame, encompassed with sturdy foam padding and surrounded with heavy gauge authentic leather, available in a white or black color. Soft padded corners eliminate sharp corners and can save a late night bunged toes or knee as well as contributing to the welcoming feel the De Novo bed offers.
This open slat system provides optimum support for your mattress, while at the same time allowing air to circulate freely within the sleeping environment reducing allergens, and keeping the mattress fresh. No need for a box spring as the mattress sets directly upon the slats.
