The Firenze platform bed features a modern low-profile bed frame with uncluttered, straightforward lines and a unique offset headboard whereby the padded headboard slightly offsets the wood frame headboard. This creates a look that is engaging, and unique, adding to the overall appearance and inviting feel of the bed.  This "Asymmetrical within Symmetry" is a current trend found in much of modern architectural and furniture design.

The padded headboard is wrapped in a luxurious heavy duty cotton twill, creating a comfortable backrest with plenty of support, suggesting a perfect place for late night TV watching or enjoying that great mystery novel you have been wanting to finish.

The Firenze in addition offers excellence in design demonstrated by the floating platform bed look whereby the sturdy legs supporting the bed are recessed giving the look as thought bed were floating on the floor. Construction

The Firenze platform bed includes the "Bowed Slat System" whereby the mattress sits directly on slightly upward curved wood slats. The real benefit of this type of slat system is that it the slats provide optimal support while at the same time allowing the mattress to firmly rest inside the bed frame, and allowing air to circulate in the sleeping environment. Two additional support rails and four support feet, offer a sturdy platform for any type of mattress.

The new Firenze Collection features Italian-designed Queen or King platform bed frames in solid wood and wood composites finished in a warm, luxurious walnut finish. Solid wood flex-slats function as the mattress support, eliminating the need for any box springs. The Firenze platform bed fits any standard size mattress or futon. Simple assembly. Please note: Ambient lighting behind the head board can be added by use of LED strip or rope lighting, but is not included in the purchase of the bed.

  • For any assortment of Firenze bed and matching furniture pieces, there is a flat rate shipping charge of $199.00 in the continental United States.

First Class Freight Delivery. All furniture is shipped on Class #1 Carriers, Fully Insured, and is delivered right to your front door, or building front door, with a courtesy notification phone call to set up the best time for delivery.

The Firenze Platform bed and matching bedroom furniture set is the highest level of environmentally friendly furniture on the market today. The full Firenze set has been classified as "E-1" constructed, using only wood that is E-1 certified. What does this mean?

The "E-1" rating is a European Union certification system that states that the materials used in the construction of the furniture do not off gas formaldehyde or other dangerous fumes into the sleeping environment. In addition all paints, glues, and finishes used in the furniture, also do not off emit toxic gasses. Many materials founds in most furniture made today, emit formaldehyde and a whole range of chemical gasses, many of which are harmful and are known allergens. "E-1" rating is the highest level of zero emissions rating.

In the United States there are currently no standards for toxic gas emissions from furniture, even though these gasses are known to be harmful to health. In addition there is no similar furniture product made in the United States, China or the Pacific Rim that has obtained this emission rating.
