FSC - Forest Stewardship Council
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent 3rd party organization whose purpose is to certify wood products as coming from forests that are sustainable harvested and managed in a way that protects the forests and environments surrounding them. You can currently find a selection of FSC wood products in many stores across the United States, but it is rare to find furniture made with FSC certified wood.
