The Manhattan Storage platform bed is the perfect expression of what we call "Comfortable Ease". Simple, graceful lines contrast the rich texture of the mahogany hardwood and the comfortable textile leather headboard, creating a look that is luxurious and stunning. The low-profile silhouette expresses a quality of simple harmony and the added benefit of under-the-bed drawers offers plenty of extra storage space.
Each piece of the Manhattan Bedroom Collection is sanded and stained, as well as kiln dried so the finish is smooth, luxurious and resistant to humid or dry climates. What that means to you is that the bed is less likely to warp or crack over time. The bed features precision miter joint construction and English dovetail joinery.
The wood frame headboard is surrounded by padded foam and covered in luxurious black textile leather. Textile leather is a special material where two extra thick layers of material are fused together, creating a fabric with exceptional look and endurance. The headboard is comfortable, restful and perfect for reading in bed or watching tv.
A solid wood slat system is perfect for any style of mattress, futon or memory foam mattress. No box spring is needed. The satin nickel to satin nickel bed rail fittings allow for easy assembly.
