Why our Shoji Screens are Better

Why our Shoji Screens are Better

Our selection of Shoji Screens are simply the best Shoji screens on the market today in terms of value and price. We offer both a Value line of Japanese style shoji screens and a Deluxe two-sided screen. Our products are perfect for any decorative need or budget requirement. Handcrafted in our own factory in Taiwan to our own design specifications, our screens offer excellent quality at a very reasonable price.

Our value line of Haiku Designs screens and Shoji lamps are constructed from Bamboo, Chinese Ash and Ramin wood. These woods are hardwoods grown in the lowlands of Asia, and are kiln dried so that the frame will not bend or warp over time.

These screens are constructed with the wood pattern on one side, and incorporate the heaviest wood lattice and frame structure currently available in the marketplace. What this means is that the screens can easily stand by themselves and are durable to last over time.

In addition, several of our shoji screens are made from bamboo wood. Bamboo is a totally eco-friendly renewable resource, offering durability, beauty, and strength in one attractive package. Bamboo can grow over 24 inches a month, and is farmed in plantations. By purchasing our Shoji screens and other products made from Bamboo wood, you are assured in buying a high-quality screen that is produced in a manner that does not harm the environment. Both our Kunshu and Harmony Deluxe Shoji Screens offer the additional advantage of the wood lattice pattern on both sides of the screen, as well as a solid bamboo wood kick panel at the bottom for additional strength and stability.

Japanese Landscape Shoji Screen

All screens include Dragon Cloud Rice Paper, which is Japanese rice paper with a small amount of synthetic fiber. The synthetic fiber is a high grade acrylic resin which is also called Warlon rice paper. This unique rice paper blend is opaque, allowing diffused light through the screen. The real benefit of this type of paper is that it creates a bright, yet soft look that is special and unique to our distinctive furniture screens.

Although our designs have often been copied by many other manufacturers, no one equals our unique combination of style, quality, and competitive pricing. You will notice a difference with our screens in terms of the thickness of the wood frames, the excellent quality of our stains and surface finishes, and in our customer service.

Our Shoji Screens, Rice Paper Lamps, and Furniture sets really are better. Check out what our satisfied customers have to say: Customers Love Us!
