Our Sweet Dreams Progressive Comfort mattress starts with a 6" Natural latex foam foundation upon which are placed an additional 2" layer of ever slightly softer Latex. This we call our “Progressive Comfort System", whereby the latex becomes softer at as it approaches the top of the mattress.
The Support Layer and Comfort Layer of Latex
What this means to you is that the Sweet Dreams All Natural mattress offers strong orthopedic support due to the firm base layer while at the same time offering a luxurious feel, and a slightly comfortable give thanks to the progressive layering system of latex on the top of the mattress. Advantages of the Progressive Comfort System
One of the great advantages of the Sweet Dreams Progressive Comfort mattress is that it offers ultimate orthopedic support using the Progressive comfort system whereby the mattress starts with a firm foam base that then gets slightly softer the closer ones gets to the top. It is similar to a pillow top system but with more support.
What this means to you is that the mattress settles slightly where the body is heavier i.e. ; in the hips, shoulders and head, and less where the body is lighter. The overall effect is that the spine stays nearly horizontal lessening stress on the spine, and neck. This reduces back and neck pain, allowing the body and nervous system to fundamentally relax as it senses the stable and comfortable support of the mattress.

Organic And Certified
The Sweet Dreams Mattress is an All-Natural, chemical free, synthetic fiber free mattress offering 100% Botanical Latex, as opposed to synthetic, petro-chemical latex blends. In addition the latex is certified Organic and Chemical Free by GOLS, the highest standard for latex production. All natural means no off gassing of toxic chemical into the sleeping environment reducing allergies and a creating a better night’s rest.
The Quilted Cover
We then enclose this whole package in soft, luxurious 100% GOTS Certified Organic cotton, with one inch of Natural, American lambs wool quilted into the top. The sturdy Organic Cotton cover protects the mattress, and the quilted wool topper wicks away moisture reducing night sweats.
Naturally Dust Mite Resistant
Dust mites are microscopic creatures that can live by the millions in your bed. They thrive in stale, dark, moist environments, and are found most often in synthetic and foam material mattresses. The honeycomb structure of synthetic foams, as well as the predominant use of synthetic fibers in spring coil mattresses, provide a perfect environment in which dust mites thrive.
Experts agree that one of the main causes of allergies and illness today is the allergic reaction to dust mites and dust mite waste products in our sleeping environment. Dust mites live on human skin flakes and dander and thrive in any type of synthetic mattress. Itchy and red eyes, undue fatigue, skins rashes, restless sleep, congestion, coughing and sneezing fits, runny nose and other allergic reactions, are signs of dust mite contamination.
Natural materials, on the other hand, do not provide a place for dust mites to live. Wool, Cotton, Latex are naturally anti-microbial. The unique dry porous structure of these natural materials leaves no place for dust mites to reside. All Haiku Designs mattresses and futons use only natural materials such as Pure Latex, and Unbleached Cotton.
Naturally Flame Retardant
We wrap our Mattresses with an inch of Ameriwool an untreated, undyed wool produced right here in the United States. Because wool is a natural flame retardant we are able to meet Federal Flame Retardant requirements without the use of toxic flame retardant chemicals or sprays. We use Ameriwool because it is traceable and we can insure that it is not washed, or treated with dangerous chemicals or dyes, as are many wool products sourced overseas.
