This is a review for the internet ordering department - I've never set foot in the showroom. Made a special order for the Milano platform bed - which I wanted in black leather. This was special order and added about 6 weeks, to the time required for delivery. Additionally ordered a latex mattress and a silk comforter. The comforter is terrific - lightweight, doesn't bunch up like down would. Warm when needed - light enough for three seasons. The mattress is a standard latex and is fantastic!! As for the bed - the quality is much better than expected. The leather is butter soft, flawless surface and a very good dye job. there is a "his and her" (or his and his if thats your thing) side with bowed hardwood slats - they "give" a little as required. Overall am very impressed with the product/service. would use this company again.
I want to thank you all for having such wonderful products. I ordered the Kyoto bed and the latex mattress. My son put it together for me today and it didn't take too long. The bed is sturdy and I don't have to mention how beautiful it is do I!! The mattress is as the lady I spoke to on the phone said. Much better than the (brand deleted) I was considering getting. The mattress is firm yet giving and supports wonderfully. It is also not a "hot" mattress and is also easy to turn over on. You don't have the sensation of moving through molasses like I did on the above mentioned brand of mattress. I have been sleeping so well since we got our new bed and mattress from you. I actually enjoyed having a cold last week when I stayed in bed all day. That's sick, but that much I love it. Thanks so much.
We just received out Tomaru Japanese Platform Bed and the King Size Naturalpedic Latex Mattress: Level 2 - Luxury. Last nite was the most comfortable sleeping experience we have ever had. I did a lot of research on whether to get a (brand deleted) mattress or a latex mattress. We decided to go with the Latex and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Not only was the price exceptionally low, the quality and sleep comfort is bar none the best we have ever slept on. My wife was always complaining about our old mattress and how is sags in the middle and hurts her back, but now she is so happy and loves the comfort and support of this mattress. Again thank you for a wonderful high quality product.
I just wanted to let you know that I received my Raku Tatami bed on Wednesday of this week. I also wanted to say that the call directly from Haiku to explain the process was quite unexpected. Your customer service should be applauded. I was also amazed at the EASE of assembly. I was excited to see the finished product so I put it together myself in about 20 minutes, most of which was spent unpacking the securely wrapped pieces. There was no damage to the product in shipping. This is the first time I have ever placed an order for a piece of furniture online. I just wanted to let you know that we received the bed and mattress, put it together with ease and LOVE it more than anything! We can finally sleep all the way through the night, hardly have to turn from side to side (maybe 2X in one night!), and it even LOOKS great! We want to thank you and your company for expediting out order. We spent our first night in our new home on the floor, but received the bed early the next morning! Our movers do not arrive until tomorrow, so the bed is the only thing we have here, and it has made our house a home!!! We recently bought a Raku bed frame with headboard from Haiku Designs and we love it. It was easy to put together (due to the tight fit of the slots I would recommend two people). I prefer simple designs and I love the fact that there are only four metal bolts and that everything else is held together using gravity. And oh my is it solid. The only nitpick I have is that the bed took almost two months to arrive after we ordered it, but the staff at Haiku Designs kept us up to date with the delay and were very easy to work with. I would recommend Haiku Designs and the Raku bed to everyone.
I searched on various sites for silk blankets and found Haiku Designs. I ordered their "Sweet Dreams" Natural Silk Comforter in Queen size, made with Tussah silk, in Germany to "European Eco Standards." It has an organic cotton cover and the silk is made without synthetic dyes or chemicals. I liked that they had free shipping... the comforter arrived quickly, was packed well and super light. I was impressed by how thin and warm the blanket was and had a great night's sleep. It was the best sleep I've had in a long time and for an insomniac like me, that's like finding the holy grail.
I want to thank everyone who helped with my recent order. I have been enjoying both the bed and mattress immensely, as has Xena, my cat. This was the first major purchase have made on-line--a bed to boot--and was a bit unsure about the end result. The simplicity of your website is what attracted me to Haiku Designs, and the helpfulness of everyone I spoke with was sincere and eased any doubts I had. We love the colour and fit of the duvet cover, sheets and pillowcases of the linens we purchased and would definitely recommend Haiku for their linen products. For the Queen sized bed and tatami mats; overall the packaging was put together very well. The assembly of it was easy and the pieces fit together nicely. We love the bed now that it is set up especially the feel of the finish and the smell of the tatami mats. We have had a (brand deleted), a very expensive name brand futon, and a (brand deleted), and NONE of these beds worked for us. This is truly the bed that has it ALL. When you turn over, your bed partner can't even feel it!!!! It has the perfect amount of firmness, yet your arms don't fall asleep when you are lying on your side. WE love this bed, and we are telling our friends and family one by one that they NEED this mattress. Again, thanks so much for fulfilling one of the biggest goals that we have had - SLEEP! Aloha.
I have received the "Raku" japanese platform bed queen size, last Friday by UPS (just 3 weeks after ordering it!); I wanted to tell you that I am very pleased with it. The quality of the product is just great, and that reddish walnut finish just the perfect color to match the other pieces of furniture I already have in that room. It was very well wrapped (and individually wrapped) for such a long risky distance. It just looks so great!!! Thank you also for your pleasant cooperation.
I love Japanese furniture and this has been the place where I have bought the few pieces of furniture that I wanted. I have always had a great customer service. They have been very kind, patient and helpful with my slow process of making my decisions. I also consider that the furniture has a good quality, it is beautiful and affordable... I am actually very grateful to them for their graciousness and patience with me during my last purchase about a month ago.
I have had a happy experience with Haiku Designs. Been looking for bedroom furniture for a number of months and liked some of their offerings. Ordered one of the beds with a low to the ground, modern design... the Arata bed... Took a little longer to get the order than expected but when it came everything was in good shape. Put it together and its look great. Customer service was helpful with some issues with assembly, but all in all a good experience.
Best money we've ever spent, we absolutely love our bed! The showroom is very simple and small, but the knowledgeable and kind staff explain everything you need to know without making you feel pressured to buy. Super easy going and comfortable atmosphere. They have samples of all the materials so you can see what your choices are. We even got a free set of organic cotton sheets for our king bed! Highly recommended!

We were interested in the organic sheet sets that Haiku Designs has. We weren't sure if they were right for us, and contacting them worked out great! I ordered 3 items one week ago. As far as the quality, I am totally satisfied: I ordered a kakebuton and a 100% organic cotton duvet cover. I don't know about the mattress cover yet, as I haven’t received it, but I am sure I won't be deluded. I would definitely buy again from them!!
