At Haiku Designs we understand how important Feng Shui is, so we've put together some easy and effective cures, or remedies for blocked or static energy in your space. All are designed to assist you in creating and increasing the flow of positive life force.

1. Clear Out and Eliminate Your Clutter

Get rid of everything you don't need and don't love in your home. Clutter clearing does take effort and energy, but it's very therapeutic. It will help you "lighten up the load". This is one of the most important steps in creating balanced and harmonious Feng Shui energy in your home.

2. Good Quality Light and Fresh Air - Two Essential Elements

Light and Air are two basic and essentail elements that must be present in order to create good Feng Shui or Chi Energy in your home. Open the windows often, ventilate, consider placing air-purifying plants or use a negative ion machine or air-purifier. Allow as much natural light as possible into your home or office, and consider using full-spectrum LED's or full spectrum bulbs.

3. Create the Ba Gua.

The Ba Gua is the feng shui energy map of your entire home, office, or whichever room you want to focus on. The Ba Gua Octagon is one of the tools used in Feng Shui to help determine preferred locations for certain functions in the home or office. The Ba Gua is placed with the front door of the floor plan of your home or office placed at the bottom of the Ba Gua octagon.

4. Know Your Feng Shui Birth Element.

This helps you to create a home that supports your own personal feng shui element. For example, if your own element is Fire, you can introduce the Fire Feng Shui element colors - red, yellows, or orange, as well as triangular shapes.

5. Know Your Kua Number

Knowing your number will help you to position yourself so that you benefit throughout the day from your best feng shui directions. Change the location of your bed, your desk, the seating in your dining area, etc., in order to create and increase the flow of Chi or Life Force. For example, if your Kua number is 1, it is best to face one of the following directions: Southeast, East, South, and North.

6. Be Mindful of the State of Your Home

Remember to pay close attention to the feng shui "triangle". The Feng Shui triangle is deeply connected to your health. In Feng Shui this would be considered your bedroom, your bathroom and your kitchen. Nothing is set in the universe of Chi and Feng Shui energy, so be smart, and keep your home healthy and happy.
