Shipping

Furniture over $199 Ships for Free in the Continental (Lower 48) United States of America. We do charge for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, and International Shipments, which is quoted on an order-by-order basis. Most furniture ships freight, which is delivered curbside to your driveway. If you need assistance getting the item into your house, carrying furniture up a flight of stairs, or more hands-on services, like assembly or white glove services, we can assist with finding the right upgrades at the right prices. Returns and Cancellations

Most of our customers love our products at first sight, but if you change your mind or don’t like a product, we can cancel most orders up to the point they ship. Products in new, unopened, resalable condition can also be sent back in original packaging materials, but the customer is responsible for the return shipping/freight charges, per our Return Policy. Lastly, Custom Made and Made-to-Order items must be cancelled within 72 hours or are charged in full to start the production, at which point, they can’t be cancelled or returned. Warranties

Our catalog of furniture items is high quality and made to last. All furniture items are sold with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in craftsmanship or functionality per our Return Policy. For your convenience, if a situation does occur regarding warranty or shipping issues, Haiku Designs will file and coordinate all claims and warranty replacements. Beyond that, it is our desire to have happy customers and earn your business anytime you have home furnishing needs. Feel free to contact us with any issues you have with a Haiku Designs purchase, and we’ll do what we can to help you resolve them.

Haiku Designs accepts all major credit cards, checks, PayPal, Affirm and Venmo through our secure website checkout. Generally, we’ll charge you at the time the order ships (except custom and made-to-order items which are charged ahead of starting production).

Care Instructions for Union Home Furniture Pieces

Marble Care

•  As a soft stone, marble can be susceptible to chips, cracks, scratches, and discoloration, so it’s important to care for it properly.
• Clean with a damp cloth using warm water or a specialist marble cleaner, then buff to dry.
• Remember that marble surfaces are porous, so it’s crucial to remove spillages immediately to avoid stains, and we recommend using coasters and place mats to protect against heat and moisture.
• Use abrasive or acidic cleaners, chemicals and regular furniture polishes on marble as they can use
  damage.
• Do not let acidic substances come directly into contact with the marble, for example lemon juice.
• Do not use marble surfaces as a chopping board or work top and do not place heavy weights on it.
• Do not sit or stand on a marble surface.

Wood Care

•  Wood is a natural material and each piece is individual.
• Color may mellow over time and new items can vary in shade from items that you have purchased previously.
• Only clean using a damp cloth and mild detergent.
• Aim to dust weekly with a soft, lint-free cloth
  or duster to prevent any build up of dirt.
• Ensure the polish you are using is correct for your product and finish.
• Avoid getting furniture wet when mopping floors.
• Always move out of the way when possible.
• Patch test polishes or cleaning products on a small discreet area before applying across the whole unit.
• Remove any spills immediately to avoid staining.
• Do not place directly in front of heat sources such as radiators or fires as timber can be affected by temperature and humidity which may cause cracking and warping.
• Do not place wood or timber products in direct sunlight, as this will cause the color to fade or change quickly.
• Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners.
• Do not use abrasive polish or silicon-based polishes as these can affect the finish over time.

Fabric Cleaning

•  Vacuum and brush weekly with a soft brush, as dust and dirt build up will accelerate wear and dull colors.
• Address spills and stains immediately to avoid them settling into the fabric fibers. Blot or soak up spills with a dry soft colorfast cloth.
• Use specialized upholstery cleaners and always follow the manufacturer's instructions. Spot test on a hidden area before using. We recommend using a
  professional cleaning service for cleaning your furniture in place for the best results.
• Do not soak or allow the fabric to become wet.
• NEVER rub, scrub or use washing up liquid, detergents or bleach on stains as this could damage the fabric and cause discoloration.
• NEVER wash or dry clean covers, including cushion covers provided with upholstery items, as this can affect the fire-resistant and other added coatings the fabric has been treated with. It can also impact the long-term performance of the fabric and result in color change or premature fading.
